The Taganan Tinto Parcela Margalagua comes from a single parcel that is distinct for the presence of red basalt mixed with sandy, iron-rich volcanic soil. As with the other Taganan parcels, the field blend is comprised of (mostly) red grapes, including Listán Negro, Listán Gaucho, Malvasia Negra and Negramoll, growing on very old vines (50-150 years old) with fermentation is all whole cluster in open top barrels, and aging is for one year in neutral French oak. Parcela Margaelagua is the ultimate expression of Tenerife - pure, deeply aromatic yet rustic, with a lifted nose and a mineral palate.
