I Custodi Etna Bianco Superiore Imbris 2020

MCF Rare Wine

What we have here is a wine of electric texture, with soaring citric/floral notes that speed across the palate on rails of volcanic minerality toward the long, briny finish.  Benanti's Pietra Marina has long been the benchmark for Etna Bianco, and for those of you who've had a properly aged bottle of Pietra, you know that, as good as it is young, that extra bottle age is necessary for the true genius of the wine to emerge, when all of the amazingly salty/nutty stuff starts to happen.  It's exactly the same here with the Imbris, and I CANNOT WAIT to see how this beauty ages...and how long it takes it to, perhaps. unseat Pietra as the paradigm...
