Eric Taillet Extra Brut Decem I 2004

MCF Rare Wine

Eric Taillet is a sleeper gem of an estate in the Vallée de la Marne, specializing in Pinot Meunier (which we have a soft spot for here at MCF).  The Decem I 2004 is a very unique wine one a few different levels.  First off - it's 50/50 Chardonnay and Meunier, probably the least common blend in Champagne.  Secondly - it's a batch that was made from the fantastic 2004 vintage that has been periodically released in newly disgorged batches.  This current release was disgorged in October of 2022.  It's linear, fragrant, mineral, nutty and incredibly savory.  Amazing.
