Triple Eight is the distillery wing of the famous Cisco Brewery on Nantucket, and the Notch is their tiny production single malt whisky of 100% Maris Otter barley. This exceedingly rare 15yr old bottling is one of the great malt expressions from the states (if not the whole world) and is a truly special dram. It's richly textured, with dark malty notes and an outrageously mellow, sweet finish that carries its gravity with gracious ease. Liquid love.
